Nationwide learners are welcome for one-to-one Category C training for professional rigid lorry drivers.
Commonly known as "Class 2", the Category C license allows you to drive any rigid vehicle over 7,500kg. This is the most common entry-point into a professional driving career. It covers everything from bin lorries and skip trucks to massive 32-tonne rigid haulage trucks.
You must be 18+ and hold a valid UK Car (Cat B) license.
Pass your medical exam and apply for the provisional Cat C entitlement from the DVLA.
Pass Multiple Choice, Hazard Perception, and Case Studies (CPC Mod 2).
Intensive practical training with Road Master, covering safety, maneuvering, and on-road driving.
Nationwide Learners Welcome
Road Master accepts Class 2 HGV learners from anywhere in the UK. All Category C practical training takes place in Chesterfield; contact Mark before travelling to confirm your prerequisites, assessment and course dates.
No, Category C is strictly for rigid vehicles (where the cab and trailer are one fixed unit). For articulated lorries, you need the C+E (Class 1) license.
We offer separate CPC (Module 4) training packages. Please ask for details when you book. You will need your Driver CPC card to work professionally.
Not sure which license is right for you? Our team is here to help guide you through the process.
