Master the roads in vehicles between 3.5 and 7.5 tonnes.
The C1 driving license category allows you to drive vehicles weighing between 3,500kg and 7,500kg, with a trailer of up to 750kg. If you passed your car driving test before January 1997, you likely already have this entitlement (though often with restriction code 101). Drivers who passed after 1997 need to take a separate test to gain this category.
You must pass a medical exam with a doctor to ensure you are fit to drive heavy vehicles.
Send your D2 and D4 forms to the DVLA to get the provisional C1 entitlement added to your license.
Pass the Multiple Choice (Module 1a) and Hazard Perception (Module 1b) tests.
Complete your training with Road Master and pass the 3b On-Road practical test.
Transparent pricing with no hidden fees.
Usually completed over 2 days. Includes practical test fee.

No, you must take the HGV specific theory tests (Module 1a and 1b). The hazard perception is similar format but features larger vehicles.
